Rather than creating an overtly themed coastal home, we incorporated subtle references to the oceanside location through carefully selected accessories and art pieces.
Despite being encouraged to demolish and rebuild, we chose to preserve much of the existing structure of the pool house and garage, balancing environmental impact with design vision—even through the challenges of COVID-era supply chain issues.
The result is a space that feels wonderfully comfortable and fresh with just the right echo of the ocean—creating a year-round retreat that transcends typical seasonal design.
The project was thoughtfully executed in phases to minimize disruption to the family’s lifestyle, allowing them to enjoy summers at the property between renovation periods.
