This Tribeca apartment demonstrates our approach to long-term rentals—treating them with the same consideration as permanent residences. Despite its rental status, we incorporated custom draperies, wallpaper, rugs, light fixtures, and custom furnishings to create a space that feels established and personal.
In the son's room, a custom striped rug serves as both a design foundation and a cozy gathering space, with bold reds and blues pulled from the ground of the rug informing the entire color scheme.
The primary bedroom features a block-printed valance and draperies that balance relaxation with visual interest, while neutral floor-to-ceiling drapes in the open-concept living spaces complement the overall design while maintaining a natural aesthetic.
Our extensive preliminary design process involved understanding how the family lives—what works, what doesn't, and even questions that initially might not seem related to the built environment. This comprehensive approach resulted in a space that the clients describe as extremely comfortable and reflective of their personalities.
