This project was a room in the annual Holiday House showhouse, on the Upper East Side. The design challenge was to select a holiday around which to theme the room. Summer being our favorite season, we chose to create a lounge inspired by the Solstice.

The room had two separate entrances and the footprint of the room was actually quite small. Tp achieve that WOW factor we focused the design on the walls and ceiling. LKD commissioned two custom art pieces for the space, in part to illustrate to clients how easy it can be to live with artwork created just for them. The resulting space was a serene  jewel-box, reflective of a early summer evening and featured site-specific porcelain flowers.
